It's not important at all if you trust the source where the PDF comes from.
For me it's more of a question of why in hell do I need javascript in a
stupid pdf reader. As a standard security practice I disable anything that
I can that might allow code execution without my explicit permission and in
my mind javascript is code, untrusted code from a remote source usually.
If you go thru all the preferences you'll find some other options like
launching an application and a couple where they are functions for the pdf
reader to go out on the net to do something, I disabled all of those. Don't
have v7 on my home machine so I can't look right at the moment but I'll
post from work with a full list if I get a few minutes today.
Geo.
