They do get rewarded at times.  Especially, when they save a life and 
the victim comes back to thank them, personally. 
 
I appreciate it when I am helped by the police, and I could not 
imagine the community with out the police force. 
 
Although there may be a few bad apples in the police force, they are 
few and far between, but they grab all the attention to anyone who 
wants to make the police look bad, but that is true for any group.
