Actually, knowledgeable announcers said that Belle made a bad play. The
proper play in that situation is to stop and force the second baseman to try
to tag you, hoping that he won't be able to, and will only be able to get the
batter at first while you get to second.

Disagree. If any player had elbowed Vina, there would have been objections,
Belle, because if his history of being a schmuck, drew more publicized
