Hi Keith:
Yes, being a .177 steel spring fan, I have to be vigilent....don't
want to get slipped any wooden nickels or Crosman C02 airarms cunningly
disguised with a Weihrauch label :-).
Robert Hamilton
p.s. I see Jim Maccari is considering developing a higher quality
Beeman R7/R8 mainspring. It would be an ideal match with a Watts
custom spring guide (Paul Watts makes his spring guides to custom fit
the mainspring). I'm interested, any other R7 or R8 owners interested
enough in a Maccari mainspring to "spring" for it (I'd guess approx $ 30
for just the spring......?) The factory R## spring guides are pretty
sorry items. A Watts custom guide runs somewhere around $25 and is far
superior!

Sproinnng Sproinnng Sproinnngg Proper airguns have springs in them.
But you allready knew that didn't ya. I just wanted to warn you to watch
out because their are folks out there that will try to slip you a
Crosman
160 or QB22 to shoot when your not paying attention. Oh yeah if this
misfortunate should befall you just tell folks that new air gun is your
wifes. :^) Keith/tx
