Jan wandered into the bedroom tonight, toddler James under one arm,
and used the remote to turn on the tv. The gecko sitting in the
middle of the screen objected to the sudden change in the electric
field (the humidity is pretty high right now, which sorta explains
the "crackle" at switchon), voided his colon audibly ("crapple"),
voiced his objection ("poop" was the only word I can repeat here),
picked up his bags and departed hurriedly.

I spose it should count itself lucky - I've had a bit of a war
against the cane toads in our yard recently, about 80 or 90 have
become compost in the last fortnight. I caught 15 about an hour
ago, and just ducked out now and caught 8 more. Bloody plague.
