| subject: | The New TV Season So Far, My Opinion On Three New Shows |
Well because I don't have time to watch everthing that comes on TV especially
because of the independent networks now and and because I'm deep into Science
History, Discovery and those type of stations, (plus watching the METS *#try*#
to get into the playoffs), I have to pick and choose what shows I take a shot
at and save the others for reruns and or them getting picked up on networks
like antenna TV, Cozi TV ect.
Anyway this week I got to watch three and of those one Designated Suvivor seems
like the winner. I've always liked those type of political drama types
especially those that involve the President, Secret Service , CIA ect. Kiefer
Sutherland looks like he's got another winner here and I can see that he's
going to be a bad-as. There is already a plot underfoot by the Military
Chief of Staff to do away with him also his son is involved in selling drugs.
This could be very interesing.
Two shows seem flops to me.
The Good Place was a snooze fest. I don't see it going past the 6 episodes
that are scripted. It actually reminds me of Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs
Heaven Edition. The only reason it got a fair rating was people wanted to
check it out and now that they did I think many will bail, I know I will.
Dr. Bull, another one I don't think will last. This one did not work for me,
I kept wating for Dr. Bull to break out in his DiNozzo character and
proposisition one of the women or let out one of his smart alacly sexest
renarks that the DiNozo character made. DiNozzo was a outstanding NCIS agent
but a jerk, his personality was one that you would not want to hang with him
after work, (unless you were looking for a bar fight). They never even said
what kind of Doctor Dr. Bull was, I'm guessing criminology or something like
that. I was much reminded of a Quincy M.E. episode where Quincy went on a
jury and did unauthorized medical research outside of the court and got the
defendent off. Who know's maybe Dr. Bull with loose the glasses and we will
find out he's is really DiNozzo in a cover roll as a Jury consultant. Sorry I
just can't get past the NCIS roll.
Well still wating for Timeless on October, 3rd. I think that will be
"it" for
new shows for me this year. I've got to much else on my plate.
