It is the physics that is relevant for observation in the open field. Clouds, dew, rainbows, that kind of things. Having read your commenbt, I think it does not qualify as a textbook after all. It is a standard work, still referenced a lot despite the fact that it is almost as old as me, but it was not intended as basis for a course. Surely you have heard of Minnaert have you?
