Touche'.  I **SHOULD** have refered to pro-2nd activists, not gun owners
in general.  During the Reagan era, many ACTIVISTS relaxed and let their
guard down.
Our biggest problem is that MOST gun owners don't pay attention at all
to politics.  There are, what, 50 MILLION gun owners, only 3 million NRA
members.  And a good chunk of that 3 million don't pay proper attention
to politics, they write the NRA a check every year and expect the NRA
to handle it.  Like they write a check for the hunting guide and expect
the guide to find them something to shoot.
Those people won't pay any attention until their OWN guns are affected.
Then they'll scream that the NRA failed!
