That gives me a much better reason for acquiring one.  I've had no real
difficulty with the shorter charge time so had put the battery pack on a
wait and see..  If it makes the camera a lot easier to use, you have my
undivided attention!

Thanks you for the input, Larry.  If it feels anywhere near that good for me
it will help a bunch.  Like you, I found the bare CP5000 a bit like an
engagement ring--afraid to drop it yet too valuable to experiment with new
ways to hold it!  Such things just don't fit our fingers as well as they do
on the ladies!

Glad to have the benefit of your experience.  Was thinking about getting
another battery, too.  Thanks to you I can bypass that mistake and go with
the battery pack instead.  Thanks!
