It is less than you thought. It is for the Trusted Installer Service.
My guess is you are playing with beta 1 and not the PDC build. The details
of the implementation have changed though not the feature or its intent.
You appear to misunderstand the feature and its purpose or intent as your
remark "forget about WRP for now" clearly reflects.

Hi,

interesting! :)

Well, found more then one interesting thing about "Trsuted
Installer". Yes, I'm using Beta 1 and not the PDC build (stated that
the other day). Seems to me that in Beta1 MS does not have
"direct/clear" knowing how to perform/"back up" the
"Trusted Installer Service" ?! :) Well, that would tell the
*Description" of the group (anyone can paste the description? :) and
strangly "created/selected" permissions on the various system
folders/files and Registry paths and behavior of abilities that
"simple" user have when joined to already named group. (?!:)
Well, it is an Beta afterall so I do not have any problems with it
ofcourse.

"You appear to misunderstand the feature and its purpose or intent as
your remark "forget about WRP for now" clearly reflects." ==
?! Not sure if I got it right :) You are telling me that I misunderstood
because I stated "forget about WRP" or because there is added
"for now" ?! :)

If You check, in example, www.google.com with <"trusted
installer" wrp>, first thing You'll have on Your screen is
www.microsoft.com... stating that "trsuted installer" have
everything with WRP, but in real giving You no information at all :)
(still, it is a Huge beta as is!)

In other hand, for now, trusted installer has everything with
everything/one (along with a funny popup giving You Warning that You really
ARE the Administrator on the System :) but You are not able to delete some
kind of an file that is somewhere on the system :) + it really does Not
give You an option to "elevate" yourself to "Trusted
Installer" "level" and delete the friggin file! ("We
want more RichEr GUI when We are "doomed" to its use")).
+ is it really true that if there are some Explicit Permissions set on the
file which are telling (OI) (CI) F, same service cannot be bypassed telling
you to shoveoff ? "rise confusion rise"

I maybe wrong, only stated how things are/were and how things MIGHT be,
telling You that everything ("trsuted installer" and WRP) should
be more then playing ducks with OS and Security as there are people that
really need a good mechanism to deal with everyday crap and not something
that will create more headache! (!!!).

Still, You again talk as You know something but in real, You say nothing -
work hazard ? :)

Strange ...

Ok, now for real, this is Beta 1, nothing is finished, I hope to see those
named in action.
