Back in the "olden days", a Park was nothing but a Marshall with the Park
name on it.  Why?  Because Rose Morris had exclusive license to sell
Marshall, and Marshall wanted to sell amps to another store, so they came up
with the Park tag.  Having seen both originals in person and close up, you
can't mistake the old Park for a Marshall.  They're identical.
Now on to the new Parks....
Marshall wanted to do a line of cheaper, "made in Korea" amps to compete with
other cheaper lines of amps, so they contracted with a factory overseas, and
revived the Park name to put on them.  (I was at the factory in England,
watching a load of Park amps being unloaded straight from the truck that came
from the docks.)  A current Park isn't a Marshall really... it's sold by
them, but they don't make them.  I have heard they're not bad though, for the
price.
They -do- take them into the Marhall factory and spot check a few of each
shipment to make sure they meet Marshall's specs for the amp.
