I disagree completely. Better help screens? Perhaps to you, not to
me. The only thing QB (or at least QBasic) has in its help that I wish
PB would add is when in language help can press first letter of
statement/function looking for and it takes you to them. Like press R
and it jumps down to the R's. Other than that I have no complaints.
The reformatting is also a 'feature' I can do without. Who needs it?
I format my code the way I want it, I don't like some program doing it
for me, unless I tell it to.

You probably like windoze too I imagine. Perhaps that is why you like
QB IDE. I am not a fan of windoh's, and checkboxes take more time to
fill out. Sure it takes remembering the commands to use when searching
& replacing, but after a few times it becomes second nature and can
type them in in less than a second.
On the sub's, I want my sub's where I put them, not at the bottom of my
code. I really dislike QB's starting up a new screen just because I
type the word SUB name . After a few minutes of this nonsense I
will leave the QB ide and use PB or Qedit to fix my code then reload
QB.
MV> And last, but not least, I like the QB/EDIT marking method.. I can us

That is one feature I really dislike. I like being able to mark a
block of text, then scroll down my code, and know its still marked even
if I do some clean up where I plan on moving it (like deleting some
lines). QB/EDIT will lose your marked code if you do that. Ctrl-K-H
quickly unmarks your block when you are done, if you even care. It
doesn't really bother me if it stays marked.
So as you can see we disagree on the way the IDE should work for PB.
Having predominately used TB/PB since '87 or '88, it angers me to
see the ex-QB users who were abandoned by MS come over and want to see
PB's ide conform to their old QB way of doing things, especially since
I don't like QB's IDE. I don't mind if PB adds support to be more like
QB ide in the future, but only if its all optional. It must be
optional to have sub's relocated. It must be options to have on the
fly syntax checking. It must be optional to have code reformatting.
As far as editing, I would rather see a edit buffer put in place, so
any deleted code or marked code gets put into it, and then you can go
into it and extract whatever you want and put it back into main code.
Make it about 64k or so would be nice.
