subject: A BIG sort...

... or if he cannot do that, and *requires* command-line compatibility,
there's always the OS2CLU SORT, which is command-line compatible with the IBM
SORT, 32-bit instead of 16-bit, capable of handling files up to the limit of
available virtual memory rather than up to a mere 64KiB, and faster than the
IBM SORT as well.
