That goes to show how the years are passing by  :-(  I had forgotten it was 
so long ago that he was writing his "Inquestor Universe" and
"Mallworld" 
stories in Asimov's.  I think he may have more recently gone on to horror - 
presumably in search, as Diana Wynne Jones put it in TGFL, of better prey 
and conditions.
