subject: 4.20 b3 instability (?)

Hello Kim!

I've had to switch back to timEd for the moment... On 2 or 3 occasions now
when I do an Alt S to save a message reply during a personal mail scan the
system has gone down with a hard reboot back to the POST memory count. I
will try it again after I set a protection level for that DV window to trap
any reboot causing type failures.

Have you any other reports of any instability like this? Most unusual for
my system, which for the most part is very stable. Looking forward to
either a beta or a full release of the 4.30 version!

Also, if you don't mind a reference to timEd, I'm wondering if you can have
a look at the personal scan code and see if it can be stramlined in such a
manner as to speed it up. The personal mail scan in Msged takes about 3 to
5 times longer than it does with timEd on the same message base. Any
feelings on this?

System information: Intel Pent. 133, 50M ram, DOS 6.22, QEMM 7.53, 25M
virtual ems (swap) drive, 4 physical hard drives (5 logical), 15 CDRoms,
Max 3.01, Bink 2.60, DV 2.73, Squish 1.11, etc.

Best regards,
Marc
