Hi,
Version of Outlook ?
Transport to E-Mail server is ?
You were the person with the problematic Outlook ? You killed the Outlook
in the msg transition (where maybe it is working) from containers (outbox
> sent items) ? You checked what is happening in the Outlooks
communication with E-Mail server ?
You are sure that there is no Bug (known) in given software when more then
2-3 things overlaps ?
You checked Outlooks connections, threads CPU usage, cntx switches, etc. to
exclude hw problems and other software problems on your computers ? Had new
wide softW. installations ? Checked Registry wall knocks ? When there is an
termination of the requested key/value as it is not present ?
If you did all of that (and more!) and you do not have a clear answer then
...I should think ...
Still, up till now, everything is telling that Outlook is not guilty (basic
one: if it is happening in one place, kewl, but if it happening in numerous
places in the same time, whom do You call ? :) (I'm not thinking on virus
antivirus).
+ something that Rich noted. Processes cannot be killed in kernel, still
they can be killed in way out - at certain points, Like in Unix/Linux -
they cannot be killed when in Kernel mode (even with kill -9) - example:
communication with device ?!. Still, those You will find less in
Unix/Linux, I would say because Less advanced interrupt, threading,
scheduler "capabilities", etc. .. everything that modern Windows
process have on its disposal.
