been "guilty of misinformation in the past", but I recognize that you 
cannot do so. So, I will not waste my time.
There is another set of initials which

Yep, the NIMH, the National Institute of Mental Health, which is part of 
the National Institutes of Health.

I see, so when presented with incontrovertible evidence that you were 
wrong, you try to slip out of it. 
The causation is probably genetic, since it is dealing with brain 
chemistry and structure. So far, nothing has been shown to affect it 
other than medications. No, the pattern was shown to be exclusively for 
ADHD.
