How big a company are you working for? I mean I'm using a dual PIII/650 for
email with 10's of thousands of accounts on it and it's not slow.

Anyway, I seem to remember seeing a timeout setting in outlook somewhere,
you might try adjusting that. Other than that best I can offer you is to
use kill to terminate outlook at the end of the day.
