Hi Raymond,
From a practical standpoint 'lifting the ban' will probably not generate many 
of these messages that originate in Fidonet, because sad to say, it looks 
like Fido is dying. The number of spams crossing over from Fidonet will 
increase, but there is only so much that can be done about that.
I really hate spams, but one-time announcements (like Ron suggested) 
originating from Fidonet can be tolerated ;-)
