What if I help and that just makes him do even less and go even longer

As I see it Christian teachings are unconsistent with my view of human
nature. There are situations where helping is the right thing to do. But
there are situations where helping will allow bad behavior to continue.

The vast bulk of lazy people will be as lazy as they can get away with.
