It is not. If application (in this case AntiVirus) is designed to work that
way, then it is valid.
There are numerous ways Antivirus/AntiSpam/etc. software can work. There is
only plain and simple luck MS is giving planty ways of "exposing"
information (what every application in MS Office suite can do). I bow to MS
for that.
