Hi Bob -> > This week I have a lady wanting me to commission me to come teach her how -> > to get pictures off her new digital camera and onto her computer. -> -> > Don't all digital cameras come with some sort of software? -> -> I'm not using the software Nikon sent, and none came with the Sony. The -> camera in question for you could fit many patterns so start by finding out -> what their suggested method is and you can pretty well take it from there. -> It's a lot easier than you think. I think you misunderstood me Bob. I never said I thought it would be difficult. She asked me because I'm pretty darn good with a computer, and she knows I also have a digital camera. I was just telling you all the latest attempt to keep me out of mischief and wondering if some cameras actually come without software. I did mention, in my previous message, that I no longer use the software that came with my camera either. I have a SanDisk card reader here. She wouldn't have that, of course, but she does have a scanner so, if her camera didn't come with software, we can probably import from there. I always think of getting on to someone else's computer much like crawling into a stranger's attic. It's always fascinating to see what sort of thing they have stored :) This particular computer is an older model and I bet I can get some business for my hubby to upgrade the thing, before I'm done Karen --- Platinum Xpress/Win/WINServer v3.0pr5* Origin: FONiX Info Systems * Berkshire UK * www.fonix.org (2:252/171) SEEN-BY: 633/267 270 @PATH: 252/171 140/1 106/2000 1 379/1 633/267 |
