That's what I thought.  Still waiting to see if my boyfriend's 'tiel is male 
or female, although we are pretty sure of having a female.  She is cinnamon, 
and her sire was also, although the mother was grey.  If I remember well from 
my days of breeding Zebra finches, colour is also sex-linked, and all the 
female offspring of this male should be cinnamons as well.
