  A lame app that takes the user request to exit as a mere suggestion: "I'm
doing something too important to interrupt for now.   I know better than
you when to stop my current transaction."

  OE does something similar at certain stages in the mail transaction -
although nothing in the standard SMTP or POP RFC's require an
uninterruptible transaction.
