subject: Re: Hyperuricemia in Cockatoo

Sugar was checked at the same time as the uric acid. No other lab
abnomalities. His diet consists of Pretty Bird Birdy Banquet (a cooked
food which contains beans, pasta and other things), Pretty Bird pellets,
about 1 teaspoon of bird seed cockatoo mix, a chopped slice of mango, mango
juice and water. He also gets bananas on occasion. He shows no sign of
gout and seems pretty active for a 25+ year old bird.
