I would be intersted in the reasoning behind that statement myself.
Particualrly since many years back 20 or 30 or more. The big thing for
transmission of Very Large amounts of Megga Watts over transmission lines was
Super High, 1,000,000+, DC voltages. Back then either Popular Science or
Popular Mechanics had an indepth, Non Super Technical, article how DC was
better even concidering the Conversion losses.
