-> You do quite well insulting the profession with your blanket
-> accusations of wrongdoing. As for your "we", I would remind you that
-> it is the Sworn Police Officers who are in existance to provide safety
-> and security. Private security companies exist for the purpose of
-> making a buck.....period.
Most States have a blanket law that allows an officer "in performance of
assigned duties" to operate outside of the law as far as traffic rules
go. Otherwise you wouldn't find me cutting the median to turn on a
violator ( a criminal violation otherwise ) running in the car pool lane
in heavy traffic ( how else do you get disableds out of the flow to free
up traffic ) using car pool lanes to bypass metered ramps ( who wants
the cop thats supposed to be keeping the right of way clear sitting in
line to get on the right of way ).
Those who beat their chests and point finger saying "it ain't right" are
also the ones that scream the loudest when you don't get there right
when the hang up the phone.
