You are right. Mostly the vertical electrolytes will dry out.
After 29,5 years my Miele washing machine suddenly stopped pumping water away.
It seemed a dry solder joint at the relay. The repair man also replaced the
vertical capacitors, and two resistors which showed hot results at the print.
He replaced them by larger ones a bit more higher at the print to keep its
cooling better. This machine was only be running for 1500 hours of the 10.000
hours it could normally reach, so I can go on for many years I hope.
