Anthony Jones was seen kissing Large Marge and telling us:
AJ> Look maybe you do not understand the way that Montreal works, I lived
Horse hockey, Anthony. The Expos AVERAGED 28,000 during their best years so
don't tell me that the damn hockey team is the problem. Expos management
wasted a lot of goodwill by letting their free agents go or by trading away
potential free agents and this was long before this last couple of years.
AJ> market isn't as *bad* as San Diego it is MUCH worse! In a few years
AJ> they'll be gone barring a miracle.
The fault lies in management, whether you choose to see that or not. Fans got
fed up with seeing their favorites leave and the team being too cheap to even
come close to giving their players enough money to stay. It wouldn't have
taken much but the Expos would rather play loose with their profits until
they no longer had profits.
