Here are some russian recipes I got off of rec food cooking.  I found them
quite interesting.
Another recipe from the Tsar Nicholas and Czarina Alexandria's Court.  It
is suggested that this recipe accompany the Heavenly Chocolate--Gogul
Mogul of the preceding post.  I just mailed for some of that beautiful
Russian porcelain tea cups, blue and white with the gold overlay.
Beautiful.  Can you see the chocolate in those cups, with these beautiful
tea pastries (cookies) resting on the edge?  Please enjoy....
This recipe has been around for a long time and has gone by various names
over the years.  It goes wonderful with chocolate and this version is
traced to the Russian Court.  Similar versions are called Russian Tea Cakes.
MMMMM----- Recipe via Meal-Master (tm) v8.02
 
      Title: Angel Balls
 Categories: Desserts
      Yield: 4 servings
 
  1 1/2 c  Cake flour
      2 tb Powdered sugar
    1/4 lb Butter
    1/4 c  Ground pecans
    1/4 ts Vanilla
 
  Mix all the ingredients until well combined and you can roll the
  mixture into balls--or crescents, if you prefer.  Bake for 20 minutes
  and roll in powdered sugar while hot.
  
  Variations will have the balls formed around a pecan nut half,
  instead of mixing in the ground nuts.
