I have a copy of soup2pkt.  It looks like it is exactly what I need. 
However, my fido-net bbs doesn't support points directly.  It uses
"fake net" techniques.  I am getting the impression that I can
get past this part of the problem by simply registering it and using a
"regular" nodenumber.  I can easily patch one into my nodelist so
that is not a problem.

What is a problem, is that I have Uka_ppp running, and it has downloaded
some newsgroups and so e-mail for me.  But apparently I am
missunderstanding something... because it keeps reporting "nothing to
do" when I try to import the messages from the \uka_ppp\spool file....
 What really stupid thing am I doing wrong?

I am going to have to borrow another system to get the visa blank sent in
for a registration of soup2pkt because I can't figure this out...
