The Jaguar is a cartridge based system, but an add-on CD player was released
which plugs into the cartridge port. It plays all the JaguarCD games as well
as regular music CD's (with or without the Jeff Minter "Virtual Light
Machine") and CD-G's. It also has a pass-thru cartridge port so you can play
cart games without having to remove the JagCD. This is convenient because
the JagCD fits so snugly into the recess on the top of the Jag console that
it's sometimes hard to remove.
Rumor has it that the JagDuo (sometimes called the Jaguar II) was a complete
Jag+JagCD unit in one piece. This never hit the market, though prototypes
reportedly exist.
... What are you doing with that muskrat on your neck?
