You may have medical reasons, religious reasons or you may simply not like
the stuff. :-)

To bring this back on topic, the Yukon has a phenomenally high per capita
alcohol consumption rate but other northern locales suffer from the same
phenomenon. Is it simply the long winters and the darkness?
