What if you work on the east coast and schedule a teleconference for 1:00PM. When they check the shared calender, your coworkers in the west coast office are going to want to see the time scheduled for 9:00AM. Likewise, when you scheduled your teleconference, you want to see if the participants have free time at the planned time. This will have been entered as pacific time.
