     Hmmm ... This is an awful lot like kids who have "invisible 
friends", isn't it?  Or how angels/spirits/etc are supposed to 
work - at least in the movies?  ("Angels in the Outfield" comes 
to mind at the moment.)  
     It does provide an out though; the evidence is invisible as 
well.  I like that.  It explains a lot.
