Dear Janelle,
Listening not a problem! thanks for listening to me as well.:) I had a few
problems with Birth cousins Who don't understand that reunions are hard on
everyone especially the Adoptee.I 'll never forget my pushy cousin who told
me I had spent enough time with my best friend while visiting her and that it
was now time for me to come and be with family. I tried to compromise with
her on a time for me to show -up as dinner wasn't till much later, and as my
friend and I were going to the water slides that day. Well this wasn't good
enough for my cousin and I was told to be there at her house at the set time
or not bother coming. I was very uncomfortable about all of this and there
was no telling her otherwise. Needless to say I didn't attend, because I was
so upset at her unthoughtfulness in the whole situation. Come to think of it,
its still leaves a bad taste in my mouth now that I think about it. What I
also find hard is when b-families want to make up for all the lost years
right away, or pick up like nothing has changed in your life or theirs> I
don't know if you have had to deal with this, but I sure have! I 'm glad I
have found some of my family, but many more pieces of my puzzle are missing.
one day when I'm ready to find those pieces I'm sure I will, but for now I'm
content with the way my life is at the moment. Take care, if you want to chat
via Email, then Email Address is Trilliun@brentwood.bc.ca
or its on here I think as well at the end I think? anyhow one or the other
doesn't matter.
See ya,
Judy
