-> The only people who seem to be so anti-smoking are the so-called
You may have misunderstood what this echo is for, Robin. We're not here
because we're anti-anything. This echo is for people who want help when
they have *voluntarily chosen* to quit an addiction. it isn't the
anti-smoking or anti-booze echo, it's the here's-where-you-can-get-
support-if-you-WANT-to-quit echo.
-> But don't worry about the acid rain or the polluted atmosphere with
-> all the dangerous chemicals and radiation from nuclear tests that
-> our bodies breathe in each minute of the day or the artificial
-> additives they spike our food with.
Personally, I worry about those very much. Where did you get the
impression someone in this echo doesn't?
-> systems is a drug. Did you know that nutmeg taken in quantity is an
-> hallucogenic drug? Or that the strings off the insid of a banana is
-> a drug if dried and smoked?
The former is true, the latter is a myth. I remember the collective
banana-breath on my university campus for about three months in the
late '60s, and the deep disappointment when banana breath was all we
got. :)
-> I look forward to someone on this echo convincing me of my failings.
That's not why we're here. And what I don't understand is why are you
trying to pick a fight in an echo where people come, not to be "anti"
anything, but just to stop things they don't want in their *own* lives
anymore. I quit smoking because I was a singer and it was screwing up my
voice. I quit drinking because I was a drunk and it was ruining my
health and finances. But I am not here to tell people to quit. I'm just
here to share how I did it in case someone else wants to quit too.
How does that harm you in any way?
