I'll assume you were speaking of the vehicles and not the engine.  Yes, the 
IROC is an 88 and I believe they still made or still do make 454 SS pickups, 
or at least did around 91-92.

That's what it says.  But, in California, you may not replace a 305 with a 
454.  Nor can you replace a 350 with a 454 or a 305...It HAS to be the same 
basic engine that was in the car to begin with.  Especially these 
computerized cars.  The puter in a 305, 350 and a 454/502 are all different.
