Yes. If you don't want people to stop and see if you need help, then don't
stop on the side of the highway to do your "freshening up". Do it at home
before you leave, go to a gas station, or wait until you get home. Most
decent people who see someone stopped on the side of the road in a rural
area, in the middle of nowhere, assume you just might need help...so if you
don't...then don't give them the impression that you do......pretty simple
when you just think about it isn't it??
