  I've been self employed since 1995, so I don't qualify for any type of
employment insurance, or help from the government even though I've paid
into the fund since I started working.

  In my case it's a matter of I have to do something to make car payments,
and house payments so driving taxi will have to do.  I'll just keep
throwing out the resumes and hope something comes along soon.
