Cosmic radiation is very deadly.  Especially to those folks who
attempt to fly in space.  That is why astronauts can only remain in
space for a very short period of time.  And then, only in near Earth
orbit.

Of course.  But men and women cannot remain in space for a long period
of time.  A few months, tops.  And then, only if in near Earth orbit.
Attempting to travel to the Moon would be suicide, due to the amount of
cosmic radiation.

The space station we use is not the Moon.

Because astronauts only stay on the space station for short periods of
time.  Any longer, and cancers caused by cosmic radiation would eat them
alive.
