subject: SSM Europa

Hello Jim,
JB->I have aquired a SSM Europa transvurter with no docs and I was
JB->woundering if anyone knows what the bias should be set at ???
JB->it seems to work but I,v set the bias to 50ma is this to high or to
JB->low ???.
50 mA should be right in the ballpark. I did at one time own a
SSM Europa but don't have the manual anymore. Gone with transverter.
However, perusing old tube (valve) handbooks show that 2x25 mA is
the recommended idling current for a QQE 06/40 in class B.
BTW, were you in a hurry when you misspelled several words above?
Like transvurter, woundering and "to low".
