Yes, but you just contradicted yourself.  If it was only my own effort and
genetics that made me what I am, then the schools can't be blamed for the
ones who don't do well.  The parents of the children must also must be held
accountable, because if they had been more involved in their childrens
schooling, for instance, checking to make sure they were doing their 
omework,
and going to teacher confrences.

I could also say the same to you.  You have yet to provide any proof of your
statements.  I would agree that children who drop out of school, and 
constantly
perform poorly in school are the ones most likely to end up in jail, but that
is not a constant either, look at Ted Bundy, and the Unibomber.
