Hello George,
>LL>In summary, the birth of Jesus was on December 25, 5 B.C. This is noted
GP>Not possible -- Jesus was born during Sukkot("Feast of
Tabernacles") which i
GP>in the Autumn, soon after the equinox.
Matthew shows the birth of Jesus as being December 25, 5 B. C. in an
allegorical sense. Not a literal sense. In any event, nobody knows
what the weather was like two thousand years ago in Palestine. The
climate may have been much cooler then than it is today. Or it could
have been much warmer. How many seasons were there? Maybe two.
Maybe six. Maybe four. We really don't know.
GP>For one thing, the Gospels say the shepherds were tending their flocks in th
GP>fields at night -- they just did not do that in the winter! (it does snow
GP>there!)
It very rarely snows in Palestine. Even in the wintertime. However,
what the weather was like two thousand years ago really is not known.
>LL>in Matthew 1:1-25, in an allegorical sense. In order to be considered
>LL>"rabbi" or "teacher", Jesus had to have
attained the age of 30.
GP>There's no evidence that the term "rabbi" was used in the
formal sense, of
GP>Jesus being an ordained "Rabbi" -- the fact that Jesus was
unmarried dispute
GP>this!
The term "rabbi" could have been used in an informal sense, rather than
in a formal sense. IOW, a teacher could be referred to as rabbi, even
if that teacher was not a real rabbi giving sermons in a synogogue.
GP>Quite likely the disciple meant it in the literal sense ("my
teacher")
Quite possible, and even likely.
GP>Because Jesus wasn't married, and may not even have been yet 30 years of age
GP>(we know he couldn't have been born later than 4BCE, because Herod died in t
GP>year!)
Presuming Jesus was born prior to 4 B.C., He could not have
begun his public ministry until he was 30 years of age, because
He was crucified, died, and buried during the time Pontius Pilate
was procurator (26 A.D. to 36 A.D.).
>LL>Pilate was procurator, between 26 A.D. and 36 A.D. Pentecost occurred
>LL>roughly two months following Jesus' death and resurrection.
GP>Jesus was arrested the night of Passover's first meal in 33CE (the only year

occurring on the corre
GP>day for Jesus to have been buried for 3 days before the first day resurrecti
The most exact one can know for certain is between 26 A.D. and 36 A.D.
You could be right about 33 A.D. But I am not sure anybody can know for
certain the exact year.
>SA>The wording in the KJV is "caught up", as in what I once saw a
GP>This is the literal meaning of the term "raptura". . .
GP>(as in "seized", thus this term being applied to a certain
dinosaurian class

"Holy Pteroctadyl!", Robin said to Batman. :)
