AQ>I missed the deadline. Now I have some energy, and have been answering
AQ>echo's like a champ. Other days I just can't be bothered. in contrast I
AQ>noticed that one of the guys in our PC User Group who is regarded as the
AQ>internet guru, averaging 5hours/day on the internet - and he does work
AQ>professionally in computing as well!
AQ>I do wish I could get more things done, but when the curtains of
AQ>fatigue drop down on me, I realise that I need to ration what I do do.
All of us have that problem. We just have to learn to get our priorities
straight. And that is hard for us because most of us are over-achievers.
AQ>They have been wanting me to seriously get into a wheelchair but the
AQ>doctor (who is suggesting it as an option), and the orthotist (who is
AQ>telling me, so that I will stop demanding good callipers from him, which
AQ>he is having trouble supplying), just do not understand how that would
AQ>change my life, and probably kill my good arm, which has an irreparable
AQ>tear in the shoulder which would be used to reach up for everything.
AQ>They seem to have very little feeling about the pros and cons of it.
We all have trouble with our Dr. understanding us and the reason we are
demanding. We understand the problems we have and sometimes just can't
get our feelings across to them, because they haven't had to deal with
the problems. Some of us solved them for ourselves last time, and it's
hard to admit that we can't do it this time. I think that they get
frustrated and don't like to deal with us, because they know that they
can't do anything for us. Some don't want to learn because they know if
they wait long enough, we'll be gone and they won't have to deal with
it. Thank God that the next generation after us didn't get Polio. PPS
will be a thing of the past in the years to come. Hope things in your
world are going great for you. Have a wonderful day.
