A thousand dollars for an air mattress!  Remarkable!  As John D. Rockefeller
(and possibly Rush Limbaugh) allegedly said, "Rich or poor, it's good to have
money."
You might check your local K Mart and see how many air mattresses you can buy
for $1,000. (G)
Just for the record, my wife and I have used water beds for years and 
wouldn't 
consider changing to another type of bed.  Try it..you might like it, and 
save 
a fair amount of money at the same time.
