Hello Jonathan!
Quoting Jonathan's message:

I looked at the information and started playing with the /D and /K switches.
I was finally able to obtain what I have been trying (ie: not calling/loading
AUTOEXEC.BAT) and loading 4DOSEXEC.BTM immediately. I don't know why I am now
able to do that because 4DOS tells me that it tail is:
C:\4DOS @C:\4DOS\4DOS.INI /F /D /K C:\4DOSEXEC.BTM /D /K AUTOEXEC
With the following SHELL line in CONFIG.SYS, I am able to load 4DOSEXEC.BTM
directly/immediately without having to load AUTOEXEC.BAT first.
Thanks for putting me in the right direction... :)
Sincerely, Raymond Beriau.
