subject: A good graphics library

Can anyone recommend a good graphics library for Borland Turbo C++
(DOS) that can handle SVGA 800x600, and 256+ color depth? The only one
I can find is Matthew Hildebrand's "The Graphics Engine," which is
nice, but cannot handle large graphics files well.
(note for anyone who has experience with TGE who might be able to help
in that respect -- I have a 350k pcx file that I want to load into
memory and then use putImage() on, but it can't load it into memory.
Instead I have to use displayPcxFile() which I think is slower.. Any
suggestions???)
Thanks to all!
