following up a message from Richard Anderson to Roy Witt:
 RW>Pull the card and use an eraser to clean the contacts and it

One thing Roy forgot to mention is that after cleaning with
the eraser, don't put the card back into the slot until you
wipe the contacts WELL with a piece of cotton with cleaning
alcohol (ie 99.9%) to remove the bits of rubber or residue
that may have been left behind.
