Keep in mind that many of these machines are the exact same machines used as
industrial machines for fashion designers. This accounts for some of the
priceyness of the machines. I know that my machine does not have any of the
many newer bells and whistles but it does all that I want from a knitting
machine at this time... It was something that I had wanted from the time I
was a child and it was now just 10 years ago that I finally got it... believe
me it has definitly had a work out in those ten years and I am looking to it
providing many many more years of useage... I suppose that it has long ago
paid for itself..
I don't use it everyday that is a given but it is used frequently... more
frequently than many people use their sewing machines.
You are right though I have seen some priced well over $5000.00!!!
